At JMCT Institue of Pharmacy a wide range of academic facilities are provided to the students to assist them at every stage of their course. These include high-tech, well-equipped laboratories in the Departments of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Analysis, Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, Pharmacy Practice and Pharmacognosy, which serve as a strong framework for our graduates to help them develop capabilities to become world-class pharmacists and scientists. Academically as well as socially productive in-house projects and research work are taken-up in these laboratories.

The Institute offers good infrastructure for education, practical training, and research in various specializations including Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Analysis, Pharmacology and Pharmacognosy. Our Institutional Library subscribes to many International and National Journals and stores around 4000 books for reference and consultation of students and faculty members. The College has a well-maintained Medicinal Plant Garden with about numerous species of medicinal plants. The institute has well equipped Seminar halls with good presentation facilities. As well as computer lab facility with about 50 high tech systems with 24 hr internet facility.

Central Library

The JMCT Library is an important Learning Resource center and important part of our institute. There are over 3000 books, 10 print national and international Journals. A separate collection of CDs and DVDs covering a vast range of subjects like Human Anatomy and Physiology, Pharmaceutics, Biochemistry and Clinical Patho-Physiology Communication Skills, Management skills, Innovation and Discovery and for Competitive Examinations.

Classroom

Each department are equipped with spacious Lecture Galleries with latest education technologies. Each lecture galleries are constructed in detailed manner that each student pays more attention to the Lectures.Outstanding infrastructure dedicated exclusively for the pharmacy discipline makes the teaching learning pleasurable experience. The entire campus including the residential facilities is Wi-Fi enabled with power and water supply.

All the laboratories are well equipped as per PCI norms. The laboratories are Pharmaceutical chemistry, Pharmaceutics, Pharmacognosy, Human anatomy and physiology, pharmacology and toxicology, Hospital and clinical pharmacy, Biochemistry and clinical pathology.

1.Pharmaceutics Laboratory

Pharmaceutics is the discipline of pharmacy that deals with all facets of the process of converting a new chemical entity (NCE) into a Dosage forms like Tablets, Capsules, Oral Liquids, Ointments. The department of Pharmaceutics has well equipped laboratories where students are trained in the various formulation development techniques and related quality control aspects.

2.Pharmaceutical Chemistry Laboratory

Pharmaceutical Chemistry is applied chemistry which embraces organic, bioinorganic, physical, phytochemical and analytical chemistry. These disciplines are applied in the preparation, synthesis, Isolation and characterization, standardization, interpretation of drug interactions and analysis of chemical substances for medicinal use. The focus of the department is on the fundamental concepts and principles in organic, physical, medicinal and analytical chemistry to pharmaceuticals and then relate these concepts to drug synthesis, manufacturing and quality assurance in the practice of pharmacy. The collaborative research activities which include the synthesis and screening of various heterocyclic compounds for their pharmacological, microbiological etc., environment within the Department and with other Departments of the college will expose students to a wide array of modern research in the pharmaceutical sciences, invaluable for a successful career.

3.Pharmcognosy Laboratory

The Laboratory helps train the students in practical studies of pharmacology and chemotherapy, bioassays of various drugs, etc. The department of Pharmacognosy caters to the modern needs of Industry by providing conducive ambience for learning and develop skills to befit the industrial and academic demands. The growing needs for herbal drugs standardization and analysis in the pharmaceuctical, herbal/ayurvedic, nutraceutical and cosmeceutical industries has paved the way for the requirement of well trained personnel. Our department has been continuously providing skilled hands to industry and academic demands. The alumni of our department and their positions in the industry and academia speak about the employability of our students.

Computer lab is designed to provide a teaching environment that develops specific skills to the students to help them master the technology skills needed in their particular field, as well as learn how software assists in information gathering, analysis, and organization of material for presentation and effective decision making. The computer lab offers different software applications for support of the many program areas; such as, standard applications, Internet applications, programming and art design application. This computer lab is equipped with the following software’s mentioned below.

A separate room is provided to the students for self-study. It has a sitting arrangement for close to 36-50 students. Students can bring their reference materials and study here in their free time.
