Knowledge Day Celebration

Knowledge Day was celebrated at JMCT College of Pharmacy, Nasik on 13 th April 2023 on the occasion of Ambedkar jayanti in seminar hall at 12:30 pm .The programme began with lighting of the lamp by Principal Sir Dr. Shahzad Ansari and HOD Mr. Pravin Netkar for tribute to Legendary Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. After that, light lamping ceremony there was speeches by teachers, Principal sir and students. Principal sir also gave the impressive and powerful speech and highlighted the importance of various facets of our Constitution and also realized the efforts of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, A father of the Indian constitution in speech. Students highlighted the basic differences of Indian constitution than that of other countries with examples indicating the prerequisites of the constitution such as societal, familial and individual needs. Necessity and are not a privilege. The programme was concluded by singing National Anthem together.

“Guest Lecture” on subject “Effective Communication and Skill Development”

A Guest lecture on the topic “Effective Communication and Skill Development” was conducted on 6th April 2023 at JMCT Institute of Pharmacy. The programme was started with falicitation of speaker Mrs. Leela H. Sonanwane by Principal sir Dr.Shahzad Ahmed Ansari . Then Miss. Ayesha Nisar Shaikh Madam gave the brief introduction of the speaker. During her lecture, Mrs. Leela H. Sonanwane started some brain storming sessions to all the participants to realize the importance of imparting “Communication Skills” just not for only four years, but also for their entire life. Besides, she also advised the student to incorporate certain skills such as Motivation, Personality Development, Stress Management and Effective Leadership Qualities to face any challenges that they would experience in the future The session was very interactive and ended with many students requesting for more much sessions. Faculty of B.Pharm students attended this guest lecture.Following lecture, and interactive session was held where in staff and student had interaction with speaker. Then the programme was concluded with Vote Of Thanks by Miss. Ayesha N. Shaikh Madam.

“Guest Lecture- Genetic Engineering on Protein Chemistry, Job Opportunities in Pharma” At JMCT Institute of Pharmacy

A guest lecture on the Topic “ Genetic Engineering on Protein Chemistry, Job Opportunities in Pharma” was conducted on the 9th of March 2023 at JMCT INSTITUE OF PHARMACY. The Programme was started with facilitation of Chief guest Mr. Mohammed Shafeeque Ansari By Principal Sir Dr. Shahzad Anasari. Then Mr Netkar Sir gave the brief Introduction of the Chief Guest. The resource person – Mr. Mohammed Shafeeque Ansari started the lecture with the definitions of Genetic Engineering, Scope of Genetic Engineering. He explained in detail about the importance of Genetics in today’s world with few real-time examples. He addressed about how the diseases are cured through genetic engineering with lesser side effects. He also explained about the Job opportunities in Genetic Engineering, And Various other fields of Pharmacy. He gave the brief Idea of Growth rate of Pharmaceutical Industry. Faculty, D-Pharm & B. Pharm students attended this guest lecture. Following lecture, an interactive session was held wherein staff and students have had interaction with the speaker. Then the Programme concluded with Vote of Thanks by Mr. Kalim khan sir and Mr. Netkar Sir.

Industrial Visit” At JMCT Institute of Pharmacy

JMCT college of Pharmacy had organized an industrial visit on 2nd March , 2023 to Blue Cross Industry located in Ambad, Nashik for the students of F. Y D- Pharmacy. The visit was organized by HOD of D-Pharmacy Mr. Pravin T Netkar, Mr. Abdullah Shaikh, Ms. Jagtap Mohini . were the co-ordinators Faculty for the industrial visit. The visit started from the college campus at 02:00 pm via college bus. Totally 40 students along with 2 coordinators faculty were there in the journey. Mr. Krishna chavan welcomed & introduced the students and faculty members to the other officials of the plant. He gave us a brief about how to represent our industry or brand to the outside world, how to understand the other industry and then find out ways to create our demand for them. The real life connection of the examples, made it very easy for us to understand the things. Mr. Manoj jagtap gives complete knowledge about production department, instruments and techniques used in manufacturing, standard operating procedure, good manufacturing practices, etc. Student gain scenario of current pharma industry. This visit gives information & a chance to upgrade their knowledge regarding the current practices, instruments and techniques used in manufacturing, standard operating procedure, good manufacturing practices, etc. Students found it very helpful in understanding the actual working of Industry; they understand the Formulation of various dosage forms, actual working of instruments and equipments, Raw material entry and storage, Quality assurance and Quality control Departments, Sterilization Unit, Packaging of Formulation, Storage of finished products, Procedure for dispatch of final product. He also gave the brief knowledge of the formulation which is manufactured in the industry such as Tusq-Dx, Blumox-p, Azibest, Meftal P, etc. Students found it very helpful in correlating this visit with their theoretical study.
Objective of the Visit: Main aim of industrial visit is to provide an exposure to students about practical working environment, to update with latest updates on the industrial profession and to provide knowledge of new modern techniques used in the Pharmaceutical Industry.

Medicinal Garden Visit

A visit was organized to papaya Nursery, Trambakeshwar Road, Satpur on 27th February 2023 for First year D. Pharm students. Forty-four students and four teachers visited the nursery. The aim was to show the students proper methods for managing medicinal plants in a garden and to provide information on plants that could be suitable for their gardens and for any pathological diseases. The Guide showed the students and teachers various medicinal plants maintained in the herbal plant section of the site and highlighted their importance, usefulness, and significance.  These herbal products are today being the symbol of safety in contrast to the synthetic drugs that are regarded as unsafe to human being and environment. Although herbs had been priced for their medicinal, flavouring and aromatic qualities for centuries, the synthetic products of the modern age surpassed their importance, for a while. However, the blind dependence on synthetics is over and people are returning to the naturals with hope of safety and security. It’s time to promote them globally. It had been commenced with the gather of the entire participated student at JMCT campus sharply at 10:30 a.m. All the participants are then conveyed to the said location to get participation in the scientific activity. The medicinal plant garden visit was a very excellent opportunity to observe the various species of plants such as Amla, Tulsi, Adhatoda, Black Pepper , Aloe, All Spices , Cinnamon, lemon , Coriander, Fennel, Green Tea, Periwinkle, Rauwolfia, Zingiber, etc. During visit to medicinal garden all the students along with lecturers gain lot of information about all the medicinal plants existed in the Papaya Nursery. During the visit, all the students practically come to know well about morphology of the various medicinally plants as well as essential pharmacognostical information about the plants.  The visit was concluded with Question- Answer session. The visit came to an end at 01.00 p.m. Return journey was started at 1.30 p.m. It was an informative, interesting and a successful field visit, as students understand and observed the various different medicinal plants than that of prescribed in Pharmacognosy book. We also thank to our respected Principal who motivated to arrange such an informative program. Lately we request you to arrange more Field visits in the future for the students which will be helpful for the students.
Objective of the visit: The aim was to show the students proper methods for managing medicinal plants in a garden and to provide information on plants that could be suitable for their gardens and for any pathological diseases. The objective of visiting this garden is for the purpose of education to expose students to maximum common and rare genuine medicinal plants species which comprehensive knowledge of identification of various medicinal plants in fresh as well as in dry form and its various therapeutics uses.

Medical Camp” At JMCT Institute of Pharmacy

Medical Camp was Organized by JMCT Institute of Pharmacy in accoradation with Jmct Polytechnic Institute on 25th February 2023. As per the planning the arrangements was done by 9.00am with the support of volunteers. The medical team reached the place at 9.15am, with a small inauguration by the Chief Guest and invited guests, then we started the activity, we came for. With the targeted aim and objective of the camp, a major benefit of the camp was the awareness, counselling that was done by the doctors. Doctors diagnosis all the patients and prescribed them the required medicines, which the patients availed from the medicines counter free of cost. The camp ended about 2:30 pm with smiling faces in the community. This camp brought health awareness in people and fosters them towards their health care. The people who are not in the position to spend money on their medicines and check-up got benefits through this. It was a growth experience for all and one with satisfying opportunities to help others less fortunate. The response and appreciation of the people was very encouraging this brings the satisfaction of fulfilment of our objective.

Blind School Visit

A blind school visit was organized by JMCT Institute of Pharmacy on February 28, 2023. Around 44 students of all the clans went to Sane Guruji Prasarak Mandal, Nashik Road. The objective of the visit was to make students understand the power of empathy, integration, empowerment to a special section of society who is special for living their lives beautifully with self-confidence, dignity and self-control. The visit started at 2;00 pm where Mr. Pandey sir who is principal of the Sane Guruji Prasarak Mandal, Nashik Road. Introduced the Pharmacy students with Blind Children. Next Gaikwad Sir explained the enthuthiastic Schedule of the students. The students got an in-depth tour of the school and the attached residential area by the Principal and the faculty of the school. They interacted with the visually impaired children, who were from the age group of around 3 year to around 14 years. In the process, our students became aware of their own pre-conceived notions regarding the blind and realized the special care these children require while growing up. The blind Children were completely focused on their respective tasks and felt overwhelmed by the presence of students asking them their queries. Our students distributed fruits and Biscuits as token of love to all of them. They realized that we are blessed and we can bless many others by giving love, support, emathy and empowerment. Objective of Visit: The main aim was To enhance community awareness on eye care and lay stress on preventive measures; Increase and expand research for prevention of blindness and visual impairment; To secure participation of Voluntary Organizations/Private Practitioners in delivering eye Care.

World AIDS Day

We celebrate World AIDS Day on 2nd December 2022, Thursday under theme of Equalize “our college has organized mass rally to marked World AIDS Day by ending unequalitys and eliminating AIDS. A rally was organized from college campus to Ashoka marg ; teachers and students raised slogans to disseminate the message of Aids awareness. A poster was also made by students to commemorate World Aids day. Students also explained about disease AIDS, Tremeant and Precaution has to be taken.  WHO is calling on global leaders and citizens to boldly recognize and address the inequalities which are holding back progress in ending AIDS; and equalize access to essential HIV services particularly for children and key populations and their partners The teaching and non teaching staff actively participated in spreading awareness and believes that the future generation has the ability to sensitize others and prevent spread of HIV.

Constitution Day Celebration

National Constitution Day was celebrated at JMCT College of Pharmacy; Nasik on 26th November 2022 .The programme began with lighting of the lamp by Principal Sir Dr. Shahzad Ansari and HOD Mr. Pravin Netkar for tribute to Legendary Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. After that, the pledge was taken by reading, “Preamble to Constitution” that expressed their unfailing loyalty to the homeland, followed by student’s panel discussion on Indian constitution. The students highlighted the importance of various facets of our Constitution and also realized the efforts of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, father of the Indian constitution. Students highlighted the basic differences of Indian constitution than that of other countries with examples indicating the prerequisites of the constitution such as societal, familial and individual needs. The preamble of Indian Constitution i.e. India to be a sovereign, socialist, secular and democratic republic which is aiming to secure justice, liberty, equality to all citizens and promote fraternity to maintain unity and integrity of the nation were stressed in his speech as these rights are necessity and are not a privilege. The programme was concluded By Giving Vote Of Thanks by Ms. Amrapali Pawar.

Vigilance Awareness Week” At JMCT Institute of Pharmacy

The Vigilance Awareness Week is observed every year across India to promote integrity in public life and achieve a corruption free society. JMCT INSITITUTE OF PHARMACY, NASHIK observed the Vigilance Awareness Week from 3rd November to 5th November 2022 in our college premises to bring social awareness among the students. The theme for this year was “Corruption free India for a Developed Nation. Competition like Debate, Essay writing, Slogan Competition were conducted to sensitize students and staff about the various wrong practices and how one should be vigilant. Students took oath with full integrity. The objective of the programme was to stop corruption in future and make the students honest and responsible citizens. Students shared their ideas and concerns through slogan writing and posters on corruption free India were made. Students showcased their concern for a just and honest society through article writings.

“National Unity Day” At JMCT Institute of Pharmacy

Rashtriya Ekta Diwas was celebrated by the students of JMCT Institute of Pharmacy on 2nd November 2022 to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, popularly known as the Iron Man of India. We recall his struggles for getting us free India and pay our heartfelt tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel for all his sacrifices made for the country. The Rashtriya Ekta Diwas Pledge was taken by the students and the teachers to withstand the greatest threat to the unity, integrity and security of our nation. As an Endeavour to solidify the bond of oneness and unification, a throng of activities were organized to support the cause of promoting unity and celebrating “National Unity Day”. On this remarkable day our honorable Principal Sir Dr. Shahzad Ansari has given speech on the importance of Unity for today’s youth. Lastly Mr. Pravin T. Netkar sir concluded the Programme with Vote of Thanks.

Guest lec on activities inside pharmaceutical industry

Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, JMCT Institute of Pharmacy, Nasik, organized a guest lecture on the topic “Medicinal Chemistry” on 19th October 2022. Mr.Sandip Purkar as a Assistant Professor in MS. Gosavi College . The aim of this lecture was to provide basic knowledge and importance about Medicinal chemistry. Mr. Sandip Purkar, during his talk, covered Semester vth topic Antihistaminic And Antineoplastc Agent, He gives the detail information about how to study effectively medicinal chemistry. He also talks about techniques to remember the structure and structural activity relation for the drugs. This lecture cleared the all doubt and fearness about medicinal chemistry. Birth Anniversary of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam

We celebrate Birth Anniversary of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam On 15th Oct 2022 as “VACHAN PRERANA DIN” at JMCT Institute of Pharmacy for remembrance of Missile Man of India. The program was started by lighting the lamp by the hands of principal sir and staff of our college. Principal Sir gave speech how Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam contributed to our country also inspired students to achieve goals in their life.. Later on HOD Mr. Pravin Netkar sir has given speech on“VACHAN PREANA DIN”  Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, the former President of India was born on15 October, 1931and passed away on 27 July, 2015. He was an aerospace scientist and also played an instrumental role in the May 1998 Pokhran-II nuclear test. After that one by one, the students of different classes D Pharmacy and B Pharmacy has given Speech on the Life of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam. Students from all classes participated in this Programme. Lastly Shaikh Ayesha Madam Came on Stage Thanked everyone and programme was concluded.

Gandhi Jayanti

We celebrate Gandhi Jayanti on 3rd October at JMCT Institute of Pharmacy for remembrance of our beloved Father of Nation.  This year 2022 is remarked as 153rd birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.  We recall his struggles for getting us free India and pay our heartfelt tribute to Gandhiji for all his sacrifices made for the country. The celebrations for Gandhi Jayanti started welcoming all the staff and students explained the significance of the day. The programme began with lighting of the lamp by Mr.Pravin T. Netkar with a meaningful prayer service in the form of ‘Sarva DharmaPrarthana’ To revere this day, our students has given the speech on Mahatma Gandhi. He was a great leader of the Indian Independence Movement. He launched the famous “Quit India Movement” to drive the British out of our country. Mahatma Gandhi followed the principles of Non-violence and peace through his life. This day is also observed as International Day on Non-violence. Mahatma Gandhi was a simple, but a determined person. He had mass following. On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, we all thank this great saint for securing freedom for our country.

Guest Lecture Medicinal Chemistry

To enhance and upgrade the knowledge of students and faculty members We organized a guest lecture on the topic “Activities inside Pharmaceutical Industry” in the JMCT Institute of Pharmacy, Nashik. The guest lecture was given by Mr. Ab. Salam Abubakar, on 30th September 2022 for students of Diploma and Degree as well as all faculty members. Mr. Ab. Salam Abubakar is presently working as a Research officer at Glenmark Pharmaceutical R&D, Nashik. He has Five Years Industrial experience. Mr. Abubakar Sir was welcome by Mr. Pravin Netkar Sir and Ms. Monali Birari Madam. Later on Mr. Abubakar Sir started his talk with basic concept of various departments of pharmaceutical industries like Research & Development, Production, Regulatory Affairs, Pharmacovigilance, Marketing etc. He explained guideline on analytical method development under Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). He explained various stages of product development cycle and said that analytical method should follow a life cycle approach. He discussed role of analytical method at various product development stages and problems faced in development of method. He gave idea about various steps involved in Manufacturing of dosage form, importance of Data Integrity. The session was highly interactive and faculty members and students asked various problems related to manufacturing of dosage form, cracking Interviews. At last the Lecture was concluded by giving vote of thanks by Ms. Ayesha Shaikh.

International Day for Universal Access to Information

Right to Information Act – 2005 is a most popular, reformative and ambitious law in Indian political and administrative history. Right to Information Act enacted by United Progressive Alliance-1 (UPA) Government headed by Prime Minister Dr. M. Manmohan Singh in the year of 2005(14th Loka Sabha). Right to Information Act empowers the citizens of India against Administrative corruption and erratic/ wrong administration. This act discloses the Governmental and Administrative functions, programs and process related information to every common man. We organized a program “International Day for Universal Access to Information” in the JMCT Institute of Pharmacy, Nasik on 28th September 2022. Also we have conducted online Quiz Competition on Right to information Act to make awareness among the students and online e- certificates are distributed to who qualified the Quiz competition. In Afternoon session program was started. Mr. Pravin Netkar have given speech on Introduction of RTI to the students and all faculty members. Also some students from Degree and Diploma also given speech on Right to Information Act, How to apply for RTI, Importance of RTI. In the last by giving vote of thanks the program was concluded.

World Pharmacist Day Celebration

World Pharmacist Day 2022 was celebrated with tremendous joy by all staff as well as the students of JMCT Institute of Pharmacy, Nasik on 27 Sept 2022 with great enthusiasm. Principal Dr. Shahzad Ansari Sir and Mr. Kalim Khan Sir as a Guest also participated in the celebration. The function began with a by taking Pharmacy Oath. Later on Anchors has discussed various activities organized by the institute on the occasion of Pharmacist day. They explained the theme “PHARMACIST UNITED ACTION IN HEALTHIER WORLD” for this year of World Pharmacist day. Mr. Kalim Khan Sir has discussed various facts of Pharmacy profession along with the responsibilities and challenges present in front of the Pharmacy professionals. He won the hearts of all audience with his special and typical way of interaction and at the same time informed about various strategies and policies adopted by India for Industrial Pharmacy. Inauguration of Book Physical Pharmaceutics also done by honorable chief guest and Principal Sir in the presence of Mr. Pravin Netkar Sir and Ms.Monali Birari Madam. After that Prize Distribution Ceremony has started. All Winners have received certificates from Mr. Kalim Sir and Principal Sir. The program was concluded by giving Vote of Thanks.

Teachers Day Celebration

All the students of our college have organized an event on the occasion of this teacher’s day on 5th Sept. which is also known as the birthday of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. The event was held at the college seminar hall. The program started by facilitating principal sir and all teaching and non teaching staff. A student Roshni Shaikh announces all the events happening on stage one by one through a mic. A group of 8 students also performed a play on the theme of Teacher’s Day. After that, Shaikh Huzaif student of second year also presented power point presentation to give tribute to all teachers.  After that our principal sir gave a speech on the theme of Teacher’s Day cake cutting was also done. Some other programs were also presented by the students. On that day, some students took on the responsibility of teaching as a gratitude to our teachers. All the teachers were given a decorated rose flower and chocolate by the students. In the end, all the students thank all the teachers for providing a great education.

“National Sports Day Celebration” At JMCT Institute of Pharmacy

The National Sports Day of India was celebrated in JMCT Institute of Pharmacy, Nasik in Tribute to the legendary hockey player Major Dhyan Chand. The students were told about the importance of ‘Sports’ and the relevance of National Sports Day during the Programme. The day marks the birth anniversary of hockey wizard, Major Dhyan Chand. He was born on 29th August, 1905 at Allahbad. In the year 1926, he was selected for the Indian Hockey Team for the tour of New Zealand & won many medals for our country. On this occasion, all the students from second year Diploma participated in various sports activities with great enthusiasm and zeal. The students had fun while indulging in different activities like Kho- Kho, Badminton, Cricket, and Kabbadi. The students learnt a lot about true sportsmanship and the value of playing games. Students were seen playing with true team spirit and the celebration of National Sports Day echoed in the ground.

जे एम सी टी कॅम्पस मध्ये ७३ वा प्रजासत्ताक दिन उत्साहानं साजरा नासिक -२६ जानेवारी २०२२ २६ जानेवारी हा भारताचा प्रजासत्ताक दिन दर वर्षी मोठ्या उत्साहाने साजरा केला जातो. संविधान तयार करण्यासाठी डॉ . बाबासाहेब आंबेडकर यांच्या अध्यक्षतेखाली एक समिती नेमली गेली व २६ जानेवारी १९५० रोजी भारताचे संविधान अमलात आले. जे एम सी टी कॅम्पस मधील फार्मसी,इंजिनीरिंग,व इंग्लिश मेडीयम शाळेतील प्राध्यापकांनी , शिक्षकांनी व विद्यार्थ्यांनी अतिशय उत्साहाने साजरा केला. कार्यक्रमाची सुरुवात ध्वजारोहण करून राष्ट्रगीताने करण्यात आली. त्यानंतर आलेले मान्यवर संस्थेचे चेअरमन हाजी हिसामोद्दीन मुनीरोद्दीन खातिब,सचिव जाहिद हुसेन मोहम्मद साहेब खातिब, ट्रस्टी अब्दुल रऊफ मोहम्मद पटेल व साबीर मुनीरोद्दीन खातिब यांचे स्वागत फार्मसी महाविद्यालयाचे प्राचार्य डॉ. शेहेजाद अहेमद अब्दुल रझ्झाक अन्सारी , इंजिनीरिंग महाविद्यालयाचे प्राचार्य --------यांच्या हस्ते करण्यात आले. विद्यार्थ्यांनी सूत्रसंचालन ,भाषण, देशभक्तीपर गीत गावुन कार्यक्रम यशस्वीरीत्या पार पडला.तसेच विशेष प्राविण्य मिळवलेल्या विद्यार्थ्यांचे अभिनंदन करण्यात आले. कार्यक्रमाची सांगता सर्व्यांचे आभार मानून करण्यात आले.

Msbte,Dte and college Jointly organized Vaccination camp for college students

The joint vaccination camp organized by the DTE and the MSBTE for college students was a success. The camp was held at the MSBte campus on Saturday, November 25th.Colleg Principal, Mr. Shezad Ahehmad said that this was a gesture to ensure that students maintain their physical as well as mental well-being. He also requested parents to take their children to such camps every year so they could be healthier and active all through life.
